She's blinded me with science!!!

We took out first trip to the Science Center with the Logster on Veteran's Day!! We were both worried that he would be too little to enjoy it, but he LOVED it. He was able to run around and touch whatever he wanted without hearing a "no" once. Well, maybe once;) It was such a beautiful Day, especially for mid November.

He was a little skeptical of the giant T Rex, but he loved the earthquake demo and the giant "mousetrap" like track in the entry. We will definitely be going back!!

Getting acquainted with a T Rex...

Hmmm, this Stegosaurus isn't so scary (it was the bones).

Touch the SKY!!!

Flying high on Daddy's shoulders

Plumbers crack:)

We all went to the Ameristar buffet for grandma's birthday. Logan really enjoyed the dessert selection (note the chocolate face and the chocolate smeared camera lens).

Ready for my close up....

The most wonderful time of the year...

Don't ask my how, but I actually forgot about this blog. Here we are with only 6.5 weeks left in 2010. I am so excited to watch Logan enjoying the holidays this year. Whenever we go into a Home Depot or Lowe's he can hardly contain his excitement over the Christmas decorations.

I am eager to put him in the car with a Starbucks (mine of course) and go look at Christmas lights. Maybe he will actually eat some of the scrumptious food that accompanies Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.

He was a monkey for Halloween this year and loved all the kids in costume. He loved them so much that he cried every time they left. We had to take the passing out of the candy to the front porch so that he could watch everyone. Instead of crying when the trick or treaters left, he ran after them laughing.

Chasing Trick or Treaters (notice the little girl that pats him on the head, too cute).

This face cracks me up!!

The last quarter of 2011

We only have three months left of 2010, but we are going to cram pack it with memories. We started the month off with a visit from Shannon and Audrey that included an engagement party for Auntie Kala, a trip to the pumpkin patch and the Cardinals season closer.

Logan still doesn't understand that when he is bigger than someone he can't go around pushing or leaning on them like he did with his cousin Audrey. She is a sport though, she makes these faces at him as if she were saying, "how rude!!". I think he is in for it once she gets a little bigger:)

I thought it would be fun to try out a pumpkin patch that was West of Wentzville and a little more "country". Well, the 1st one proved to be a little too country for my liking. There were children with no parental supervision and no SHOES!!! It was just a little off...hard to explain, but Shannon and I were creeped out.

One of the only cool things at the hoosier pumpkin patch...besides the PVC slide;)

The second pumpkin patch was adorable, just what we were looking for. We bought our pumpkins, went through a hay maze, fed donkeys and alpacas, and took a hay ride with hot chocolate.

Helping Daddy push our pumpkins.

Slide at the end of the hay maze.

Logan & Audrey on the hayride.

Logan and Audrey attended their first Cardinals game together. We were only there for maybe 90 minutes since we had to get Shannon & Auds to the airport, but that was plenty of time for them to eat some ballpark food and catch some good plays.

Clapping with the crowd.

How does that $5 water taste?

Here is the face I was explaining.

Logan discovered that instead of pulling the toys out of the toybox, it is more fun to get in and play with all of them.

Busy Weekend

This weekend was Logan's first time ever to the park...wow, I feel like we are real slackers. We have him outside all the time, but we totally forgot about this playground that is minutes from our house. We will be making many repeat trips this fall!!!

He was in heaven!! Even though he is too little to enjoy all the cool features the park offered, he relished running free with a "no" nowhere in sight. The way he ran around like a crazy man you would never know that he blew chunks all over mommy that very morning. That's right, chunks, twice. All the milk, muffin, and fruit from breakfast made a reappearance:)

I didn't gag or freak, instead, I calmly removed Logan from his jammies and then SLOWLY took of my robe and tried to keep whatever I could off the carpet. I did a pretty great job. Somehow, I managed to get the giant purple stain out of the carpet too....GO MOMMY!!!

He was fine after the chunks incident and I am guessing it was just an uneasy stomach?? It was so nice to be at home and just hang out with nothing on our agenda...I kind of forgot how that felt.

First time at a REAL park with mommy and daddy.

Running cause I can...I am free!!!

Hmmm, not too sure about this slide??

Coolest park accessory ever...mommy and daddy both tried it out.

Whew, this park thing is wearing me out!!!

Run Mom, RUN!!

Last weekend we took a trip up to Chicago to see Shannon, Matt, and Audrey and also to run my first half marathon with Shannon. The weather was amazing!! The kids didn't seem too interested in one another, though I think they try to keep it on the DL.

The half marathon was a great experience, even though our cab driver took the wrong way and we were 25 minutes late. Surprisingly, there were lots of late starters so it really didn't matter. Our goal time was 2:20 and I came in 2 minutes under that, woo hoo!!! When I met up with Logan after the race he gave me a big wet smooch...the best motivation ever. I love my lil man!!!

Shannon and Audrey will be back in town the first weekend in October and we are taking the kids to the pumpkin patch!!! I can't wait!!

Here you go cuzzy, you want some of this milk?

Ready to cheer on our mommies...Logan looks like he needs a cup of coffee:)

Congrats Mommy...now put me down so I can mingle!!

Reading with Audrey and sportin mommy's medal.

check, check, microphone check...

While at his future wife's house, Logan discovered that he loves microphones. As soon as I told my mom this, she was out and buying him the same exact keyboard...equipped with a microphone of course. It is, for now, one of his favorites!!! He drags the poor keyboard all around behind him.

I am tossing around the idea of becoming a stage mom and priming him for American Idol.

Jam Session II

What can I say, he gets it from his momma;)

Walk this way

I know that I have been slacking, but we have been BUSY!!! Not just Logan is all over the place kind of busy, but actual trips and events busy. I don't even know where to begin.

Since Logan's birthday party, he has gone out on the boat two more times. Once, to Mark Twain with all his little friends and once to Lake of the Ozarks, where we got stuck in a quick approaching storm. He did great and really seems to love the water...we really aren't giving him the option to not like it:)

BBQ and swing set time (at his future wife's house) after a day at Mark Twain.

Chillin in his Lightning McQueen raft at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Dave and I took a trip to Vegas with some friends and successfully managed to make it three whole nights with out Logan. We missed him, but it was nice to have a little adult time. I am sure he didn't miss us too much, since he was busy being spoiled by the grandparents.

Dave and I at Hard Rock at the Kenny concert...though we did miss our lil man, we had a helluva good time;)

Logan also took his first trip on an airplane!!! He did great, even though it was only a 45 min flight to Chicago. He got to spend Audrey's first birthday with her. Logan and Audrey actually interacted this time around. They would use hand gestures and loud noises and then they would laugh...it was sooo cute.

Goofing around

Hanging out together

I think they were trying to figure out a way to get outside

One of the MAJOR milestones is that Logan is walking!! He started out slow (week of 7/19), but he has really picked up the pace since...still wobbly;) The first time he made a successful attempt was the Sunday after Dave and I had been at bachelor bachelorette parties (7/18). I was laying on the couch watching Logan and the tv when all of the sudden I heard Logan squeeling with delight. When I looked over at him he was walking his way towards the hallway. I couldn't believe it!!! I was scared at first that he was going to go down right onto the corner of the hallway wall, but excited when he made a safe landing. I think my excitment freaked him out a little bit, but it was a BIG deal!!!

One of the first videos of Logan's attempt at walking (7/20)

As if that wasn't a busy enough July, Logan's uncle Scott tied the knot and Logan got to put on the ritz for the special day. I don't have any pics of him in his tux yet, but they will be up soon.

Happy Birthday to LOGAN!!!

Logan has successfully completed his first year of life!! I knew it was going to go quick, but I didn't realize it would be here and over in the blink of an eye. That was, by far, the fastest year of my life!!! It was also the most action!!

It is hard to believe how far we have come in such a short period of time. It is so easy to forget all the little leaps and bounds, but thankfully, I have this blog to remind me. From the first smile, to the first bite of food (I guess you could call mushy cereal food), to the first time he started cruisin...it is all here.

His birthday party was so much fun. Logan has so many people (family & friends) that love and care for him. I didn't know how he would handle all the people since he has recently been going through stranger anxiety, but he did great!! He just loves watching all the kids playing. You can tell that he wants to join in so bad, but he isn't big enough to hang.

He loved when everyone sang Happy Birthday, but he wasn't so sure about the cake. He wouldn't touch it himself, but he loved the taste of it. Daddy decided to take matters into his own hands and put Logan's hands in the cake;) He loved the icing and made quite the mess.

Logan's Lightning McQueen cake!!

Happy Birthday to Logan!!

Mmmmmm!!!

Keep your balloons, cake, and presents....just give me the ROCKS!!

Cruisin for a bruisin...

Logan is officially cruisin, but I am hoping that we can avoid any and all 'bruisin'...I don't know, he's pretty sure of himself;) He has been pulling up to his knees for a while and more recently pulling up on shorter things, but Saturday he just pulled himself up to the couch like it was no big deal. Once he was up, he just moved around and one handed it like a pro. I know that he is going to be a year, but this 'growing up' stuff is all happening so fast.

He now wants to pull himself up on to anything and everything. My mom says that he even made a few steps to her, but I am just blocking that out of my memory;)

Sunday, was my FIRST ever Mother's Day and to make it even more memorable, it was also the day that Logan was baptized. He did really good and to my surprise, he wasn't the oldest one there. Shannon and Audrey were in town and that made it even better. My sister and I got to share our first mother's day with our own mother!! It was absolutely beautiful outside!!!

All my single (and non single) ladies....and one lil man...

Bookalicious!!!!

This Saturday Logan will be 11 months...only one more month before my sweet lil guy is 1 year old. He is pointing like CRAZY...some of his favorite things are lights, fans, and books. I am sure you are thinking, BOOKS, thats great, but he wants to eat them, not read them:)

Logan knew he wasn't supposed to be eating this book of coupons so he made it a game and laughed every time he started eating it.

This is the "grinding my teeth" smile...

Awww, snuggling with dadda on the couch...he looks like such a big boy.

Seriously mom???
