One more month:(

I can not believe that I only have one more month at home with my little man. I am trying not to think about it. He is so much fun now that he is smiling and making cute little sounds. I am sure that in the next month he will be doing even more which will make it even harder to leave him. He is getting a little better with the sleep at night even though some nights it goes back to how it was the first week, but I know it will get better. I am hoping that by the time I go back to work I am getting a little more sleep at night...we will see.

Here are some new pics and videos...

I love just making him smile and sometimes he really makes me work for it. We are taking him to the lake this weekend so it should be interesting:)

He is hungry, but healthy:)

I was just posting about the fact that I thought I was overfeeding Mr Chubbs. Then in the mail today I received something that showed normal intake amounts and Logan is in fact not setting himself up for childhood obesity:) He has always been at the maximum amount, but it looks like he is normal and not overindulging...just hungry:)

1-2 weeks 6-10 2-3 fl oz 12-30 fl oz
3-4 weeks 6-8 3-4 fl oz 18-32 fl oz
1-2 months 5-6 4-5 fl oz 20-30 fl oz
2-3 months 5-6 5-6 fl oz 25-36 fl oz
3-4 months 4-5 6-7 fl oz 24-35 fl oz
4-7 months 4-5 7-8 fl oz 28-40 fl oz
7-9 months 3-4 7-8 fl oz 21-32 fl oz
9-12 months 3 7-8 fl oz 21-24 fl oz

Keeping me busy!!

As of today Logan has been out of my belly for 6 weeks and 3 days...where is the time going?? I have to say that the past week I have seen lots of changes in him. He is cooing a lot and my favorite new thing is all the smiles he is giving us!! They are so precious.

As of last Thursday he weighed in at 11 lbs...he is growing like a weed and at times I worry that I am overfeeding him. An average 2 month old eats about 15-20 ounces a day and at 4 weeks Logan was eating about 30 ounces a day. The Dr's response to why he was eating so much was, "because he can"...not the most reassuring answer, but what can I do?? I can't cut him back or he will be MAD...and we will be miserable:)

He really looks like Mr Chubbs here:)

Last night was amazing in the way of sleep. We fed him around 9:30 and he went to sleep by 10 and did not wake me up until 2:40 am. Then after that feeding he did not wake me up until 7...I am hoping that starts happening regularly. When he woke me up at 7 this morning I was also surprised to see that he was not squirming around but instead he was smiling at the mobile of white bears above his head:)

He is also enjoying his tummy time as of this week. I think that maybe being on his belly helps with his gassy tummy aches because he drops some major bombs when he lays like that. He has actually been falling asleep on his belly which I allow him to do at nap time when I am awake next to him. It is a good way to get him to lay on the other side of his head.

I do not go back to work until Dave's birthday on September 1st. I am hoping that August goes VERY slowly, however, I am sure it will fly by like these other weeks have. I am looking forward to the changes in Logan. The first two weeks I was so freaked out about him getting older, but I am starting to get used to it...it is inevitable so I might as well just enjoy watching him grow and learn new things. He is such a cutie...words can not even express my deep love for him, my little man:)

Birthday Suit...

Smile for the camera:)

Doing his one month birthday dance

Well, it is not his real birthday, but he is one month today...can not believe it has been 4 weeks since he was born...time really does fly by. His weight is up to 9 lbs 9 oz. I think he might be going through a growth spurt because he is hungry ALL the time. I could give him kisses all day long!!!

We were a little worried because he hasn't had a bowel movement since Saturday and he farts nonstop, but the Dr said that was fine and normal. I spoke too soon because when we got home he was in his swing and I could hear him take a poop. Sure enough, it was a blow out!! I am talking out the sides, on his thighs, socks, blanket...you name it, it was covered in poo:)

Mommy Meltdown

Looks like I have had my first freak out (with many more to come I am sure). Last night at midnight my little sisters turned 21 and everyone was going up to Ameristar to celebrate. So I fed Logan at 11 and put him down and got ready; I was planning on going up there just for maybe an hour. Since he ate at 11 he most likely wouldn't be back up until around 2 am and I would be home by then. I was about 10 minutes from my house and I started freaking out. I started thinking of the worst possible scenarios and I had to get off the highway and head back home.

I think Dave was a little surprised when I showed back up about 20 minutes after I left. I have left him for a few hours in the day, but something about the night time just freaks me out still.

Other than that, things are still going great. He is starting to like his swing a little more which is good for me when he is fussy and I need to eat.

Catching bugs in his sleep:)

In the rocker with daddy...again (one of his favorite spots)
