So, I am fully aware of the fact that I am the worst blogger ever!!! I was so good with updating my pregnancy with Logan, but poor baby Bryce will only learn about the beginning. Oh, well. What can I say...I am busy lady people!!!

I am home for 11 weeks with Bryce so I am going to try my hardest to update pics and stories about his first weeks and months as a Johndrow:)

Hello Blog, it's me, Kylee???

Ooops, I kinda forgot all about this blog. Been a little preoccupied I suppose. I am 26 weeks along and will be 27 weeks on Sunday!!! Now that it is summer I am guessing that these weeks are going to go even quicker than before. I am feeling great, zero complaints...in the pregnancy department at least:) This little guy is quite rambuncious and keeps my belly moving all day long!!!

Logan is doing great, we just has his 2nd birthday 2 weeks ago. He is getting so big and starting to talk so much!! Last night at dinner I was trying to tell Dave a story, but I kept laughing because Logan was trying to repeat everything I was saying. It is still cute, but it might not be so cute if he repeats something that I don't want the world to know:)

Logan showing me how old he is on his birthday!!!

We recently got his big boy bed set up though we are not planning on moving him to it for a while. He loves his crib and sleeps so well in it that I don't really see the rush. Honestly, I think that Dave and I were more excited about the bed than Logan was, actually, I know we were. We have just been trying to get him to hang out in his big boy room a little bit and maybe start to get used to it. He likes when we read him books in there.

Logan crawling around on his new BIG BOY bed in his soon to be BIG BOY room:)

Logan has already made quite a few trips to the lake and loves to be out in the boat on the water. He usually just passes out.

Sound asleep after a nice boat ride.

Hanging at the cove. Don't worry, not party cove...at least not yet:)

Naptime?? I think not mommy.

Long Day!!

BIG BROTHER, little brother....

I am so very excited to announce that Logan is going to be a big brother to a little brother! We went to the Dr on Good Friday and saw the goods. Mr Bun Jr is growing and looking great. Like always, there is one small, or I prefer tiny, concern. They are going to have us go back on Tuesday, May 24th to check a small echogenic spot of Bun Jr's heart. The Dr did not seem too concerned and did not refer us to a perinatalogist at this point. We will get to see our little man at this next appt and hope that all will be just fine!!!

As of last Thursday I am FINALLY starting to feel more movement. I found out at my last appt that my placenta is anterior yet again, so that can muffle the kicks and punches from my tiny ninja warrior:)

We have decided to give the baby Logan's room since it looks babyfied and get moving on making Logan his very own stylish big boy room. Equipped with bunk beds and all the big boy fixins;) Of course the ladder to the top bunk will not be attached any time soon. We are not going to switch him right away, but at least get him used to the idea of it being his very own room so he doesn't feel like we are booting him out of his current room.

I feel like a bohemeith, however, I realize that the fact that I can still sleep on my belly means I am not even close to where I am going to be. I am pretty sure I am going to gain a little more with this bun, but that is alright with me, I will sacrifice my body...it is well worth it.

I have lots of pics to post, but I have been a little busy lately. I am going to try my hardest to get this blog up and running again!!!!

I'll Tumble For Ya...

Logan has grown quite fond of taking tumbles. Usually, they are the kind where we can bribe away the tears with a pack of Shark Bites, but yesterday...not so much. Dave called me while I was on my way home and sounded a little concerned about a cut on Logan's chin. Logan fell in the bathroom and landed on his chin on the entryway to the shower. Now, there have been many spills that looked as if nothing less than a broken bone or two could come out of them, but this was just an innocent little fall.

At first sight, it looked like there was no damage and Logan didn't even seem that upset, but after further inspection, there was indeed a cut. A slice of skin right where the flabby double chin is. Thankfully, I wasn't home yet or else Dave and I would have freaked each other out. From my spot in the car I imagined it was nothing and that Dave was overreacting. Even after I got home and saw it, I really didn't think much of it, but I figured we might as well take him to the urgent care...just to make sure.

Turns out, you can't use the glue stitches at that spot of the chin or it will break open when there is chewing and drool can interfere with it. I still figured they would just throw a butterfly bandage on it, but my heart dropped when the Dr said he would only need 3 or 4 stitches....ONLY!!!! I couldn't believe it!!

It was absolutely horrible!!! We had to strap him down to the table and into this papoose thing. He was terrified and I just wanted to hug him. I couldn't help but cry and I couldn't bear to watch them sew his chin up. Meanwhile, Dave played the strong father role and watched every bit of it and reassured Logan that it was OK. As soon as they were done, the roles reversed. I picked up Logan and was fine and Dave looked white as a ghost and needed cold water and to sit down. Mom always prevails:)

Logan was fine and actually tried following the Dr into his office on our way out...as if he hadn't had enough:)

Dave and my nerves were shot. Not how we expected to spend our evening and hopefully not a foreshadow of what is to come. This might make Dave think twice about being so eager to get Logan on a dirt bike...wishful thinking from mommy.

Here we grow again....

Or should I say, her "I" grow again:) I have heard that you show quicker with your second pregnancy, but I am now living that statement. I am about 13 1/2 weeks and holy baby belly. In the morning it is mediocre, but at night it is HUGE!!! I know it is going to get MUCH bigger, but I just don't remember any of this...at least not so soon. I do realize that my food choices were not that great during my nausea period, but I am finally feeling better and able to eat healthier. Uh, not that I always do:)

I am also getting a little more energy back and therefore, able to do a little walking. I can't wait to take it to the streets and get outside. We have gotten some really great days here in the Lou, but it is still not consistent. The extra hour of sunlight in the evenings is really helping too.

Logan LOVES it outside. He would live out there if he could. He has already gotten some scrapes and boo boo's from running around like a mad man!! I am so looking forward to taking him to the pool this year. He loves the bathtub, so I am sure he will love the pool. Bring on the summer.

My belly is still not big enough for him to fully understand what is going on. Not that he will even once my belly is bigger, but I think he might be a little more aware of it. We will see.

Blobs and nubs are sooooo cute:)

After randomly switching OB's last year, I have decided to return back to old faithful...Dr S. I felt so comfortable there and familiar with the surroundings and people. It was nice to be greeted and to have people ask, "how old is that baby of yours now?!"...like they knew and cared about me!! I felt like a bit of a traitor when they told me I was late on my annual and I had to tell them that I already had one...oops:)

We got to see Bun Jr. again!! It was still a blob, but this time nubs for the limbs had sprouted and were being wiggled all around with glee. It was the busiest nubby blob I think I have ever seen:) The heart rate was nice and loud and fast, 188 bpm. There is nothing more reassuring than that!!!! I've fallen in love all over again!!

Don't be fooled, I am still a paranoid freak. I still have my heartbeat monitor from Logan's pregnancy and it has already been used. I didn't know if I would hear anything at 10 weeks, but after moving the monitor all around only to hear my slow heartbeat...there it was!!! The fast, beautiful rhythm of Bun Jr's heart!!!

We let Logan listen even though we realized that he wouldn't know what he was hearing. He was bound and determined to get that doppler!!! When you ask him where the baby is, he lifts up his shirt and touches his belly, you have to be more specific and ask where "mommy's baby" is for him to point to my belly. So cute.

Later that day, I was walking down the hallway when I spotted Logan sitting on the floor with his shirt pulled up and the doppler on his belly!!! It was pretty priceless, wish I could have snapped a photo!!

Extra! Extra! Read all about it....

Wow, this is quite possibly the longest hiatus I have ever taken from my blog. I guess the holidays and snow and cabin fever really kept me busy! I am always excited for spring, but this year I am practically crawling out of my skin waiting for it to get here. I am DONE with winter!!! Logan is so ready to go outside and play and right now our yard is a pile of mushy goo.

Logan did get his first hair cut with clippers. Usually, Kala cuts his hair with her scissors and it never gets too short. Well, this time she got half way through and he was not having any more. He had a lopsided haircut and a bad attitude. The only solution was to bring out the clippers. I didn't really know what to expect since I am not familiar with men's haircut terminology. I don't know the difference between a "5" and a "3".

Logan's new do...

I am so ready for all this snow to melt and be gone!!! It was nice getting a few snow days at home with Logan. We pretty much stayed in our jammies all day.

Logan and his best friend Harry, or as Logan would say, "ourrie".

So, I am eager to start documenting things other than Logan on this blog, but in order to do so, I need to get this blog up to speed. After years on infertility and miscarriages and finally getting Logan through IVF, I am pregnant again! We were in no way trying or even in negotiations for more kids. It was a pleasant surprise. Dave and I were kind of in shock, like why all of the sudden does my body decide it wants to do this?? I am obviously not the one in charge here, I simply work for my body:) I am just over 8 weeks so very early, but we have already heard the heartbeat and seen the tiny blob of an embryo. I am not really sure when we will get the opportunity to see bun #2 again, but I hope it will be soon!!!

Compared to my pregnancy with Logan it is very similar, except for the nausea started about 2 weeks earlier and it is a little bit stronger. I am still nauseous throughout the entire day and extremely constipated:( NO FUN!!! Hopefully, by time the 2nd trimester is here I will be feeling much better. This is all new to me. With Logan I was under constant supervision and giving myself shots and monitoring and this time it's like, yep, your pregnant, see you in a couple months.

I am so excited to experience this pregnancy from a different perspective and I am so eager to see what Logan thinks of it all.
