Extra! Extra! Read all about it....

Wow, this is quite possibly the longest hiatus I have ever taken from my blog. I guess the holidays and snow and cabin fever really kept me busy! I am always excited for spring, but this year I am practically crawling out of my skin waiting for it to get here. I am DONE with winter!!! Logan is so ready to go outside and play and right now our yard is a pile of mushy goo.

Logan did get his first hair cut with clippers. Usually, Kala cuts his hair with her scissors and it never gets too short. Well, this time she got half way through and he was not having any more. He had a lopsided haircut and a bad attitude. The only solution was to bring out the clippers. I didn't really know what to expect since I am not familiar with men's haircut terminology. I don't know the difference between a "5" and a "3".

Logan's new do...

I am so ready for all this snow to melt and be gone!!! It was nice getting a few snow days at home with Logan. We pretty much stayed in our jammies all day.

Logan and his best friend Harry, or as Logan would say, "ourrie".

So, I am eager to start documenting things other than Logan on this blog, but in order to do so, I need to get this blog up to speed. After years on infertility and miscarriages and finally getting Logan through IVF, I am pregnant again! We were in no way trying or even in negotiations for more kids. It was a pleasant surprise. Dave and I were kind of in shock, like why all of the sudden does my body decide it wants to do this?? I am obviously not the one in charge here, I simply work for my body:) I am just over 8 weeks so very early, but we have already heard the heartbeat and seen the tiny blob of an embryo. I am not really sure when we will get the opportunity to see bun #2 again, but I hope it will be soon!!!

Compared to my pregnancy with Logan it is very similar, except for the nausea started about 2 weeks earlier and it is a little bit stronger. I am still nauseous throughout the entire day and extremely constipated:( NO FUN!!! Hopefully, by time the 2nd trimester is here I will be feeling much better. This is all new to me. With Logan I was under constant supervision and giving myself shots and monitoring and this time it's like, yep, your pregnant, see you in a couple months.

I am so excited to experience this pregnancy from a different perspective and I am so eager to see what Logan thinks of it all.

She's blinded me with science!!!

We took out first trip to the Science Center with the Logster on Veteran's Day!! We were both worried that he would be too little to enjoy it, but he LOVED it. He was able to run around and touch whatever he wanted without hearing a "no" once. Well, maybe once;) It was such a beautiful Day, especially for mid November.

He was a little skeptical of the giant T Rex, but he loved the earthquake demo and the giant "mousetrap" like track in the entry. We will definitely be going back!!

Getting acquainted with a T Rex...

Hmmm, this Stegosaurus isn't so scary (it was the bones).

Touch the SKY!!!

Flying high on Daddy's shoulders

Plumbers crack:)

We all went to the Ameristar buffet for grandma's birthday. Logan really enjoyed the dessert selection (note the chocolate face and the chocolate smeared camera lens).

Ready for my close up....

Cheesin with my gappy, yet adorable, smile:)

The most wonderful time of the year...

Don't ask my how, but I actually forgot about this blog. Here we are with only 6.5 weeks left in 2010. I am so excited to watch Logan enjoying the holidays this year. Whenever we go into a Home Depot or Lowe's he can hardly contain his excitement over the Christmas decorations.

I am eager to put him in the car with a Starbucks (mine of course) and go look at Christmas lights. Maybe he will actually eat some of the scrumptious food that accompanies Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.

He was a monkey for Halloween this year and loved all the kids in costume. He loved them so much that he cried every time they left. We had to take the passing out of the candy to the front porch so that he could watch everyone. Instead of crying when the trick or treaters left, he ran after them laughing.

Chasing Trick or Treaters (notice the little girl that pats him on the head, too cute).

This face cracks me up!!

The last quarter of 2011

We only have three months left of 2010, but we are going to cram pack it with memories. We started the month off with a visit from Shannon and Audrey that included an engagement party for Auntie Kala, a trip to the pumpkin patch and the Cardinals season closer.

Logan still doesn't understand that when he is bigger than someone he can't go around pushing or leaning on them like he did with his cousin Audrey. She is a sport though, she makes these faces at him as if she were saying, "how rude!!". I think he is in for it once she gets a little bigger:)

I thought it would be fun to try out a pumpkin patch that was West of Wentzville and a little more "country". Well, the 1st one proved to be a little too country for my liking. There were children with no parental supervision and no SHOES!!! It was just a little off...hard to explain, but Shannon and I were creeped out.

One of the only cool things at the hoosier pumpkin patch...besides the PVC slide;)

The second pumpkin patch was adorable, just what we were looking for. We bought our pumpkins, went through a hay maze, fed donkeys and alpacas, and took a hay ride with hot chocolate.

Helping Daddy push our pumpkins.

Slide at the end of the hay maze.

Logan & Audrey on the hayride.

Logan and Audrey attended their first Cardinals game together. We were only there for maybe 90 minutes since we had to get Shannon & Auds to the airport, but that was plenty of time for them to eat some ballpark food and catch some good plays.

Clapping with the crowd.

How does that $5 water taste?

Here is the face I was explaining.

Logan discovered that instead of pulling the toys out of the toybox, it is more fun to get in and play with all of them.

Busy Weekend

This weekend was Logan's first time ever to the park...wow, I feel like we are real slackers. We have him outside all the time, but we totally forgot about this playground that is minutes from our house. We will be making many repeat trips this fall!!!

He was in heaven!! Even though he is too little to enjoy all the cool features the park offered, he relished running free with a "no" nowhere in sight. The way he ran around like a crazy man you would never know that he blew chunks all over mommy that very morning. That's right, chunks, twice. All the milk, muffin, and fruit from breakfast made a reappearance:)

I didn't gag or freak, instead, I calmly removed Logan from his jammies and then SLOWLY took of my robe and tried to keep whatever I could off the carpet. I did a pretty great job. Somehow, I managed to get the giant purple stain out of the carpet too....GO MOMMY!!!

He was fine after the chunks incident and I am guessing it was just an uneasy stomach?? It was so nice to be at home and just hang out with nothing on our agenda...I kind of forgot how that felt.

First time at a REAL park with mommy and daddy.

Running cause I can...I am free!!!

Hmmm, not too sure about this slide??

Coolest park accessory ever...mommy and daddy both tried it out.

Whew, this park thing is wearing me out!!!

Run Mom, RUN!!

Last weekend we took a trip up to Chicago to see Shannon, Matt, and Audrey and also to run my first half marathon with Shannon. The weather was amazing!! The kids didn't seem too interested in one another, though I think they try to keep it on the DL.

The half marathon was a great experience, even though our cab driver took the wrong way and we were 25 minutes late. Surprisingly, there were lots of late starters so it really didn't matter. Our goal time was 2:20 and I came in 2 minutes under that, woo hoo!!! When I met up with Logan after the race he gave me a big wet smooch...the best motivation ever. I love my lil man!!!

Shannon and Audrey will be back in town the first weekend in October and we are taking the kids to the pumpkin patch!!! I can't wait!!

Here you go cuzzy, you want some of this milk?

Ready to cheer on our mommies...Logan looks like he needs a cup of coffee:)

Congrats Mommy...now put me down so I can mingle!!

Reading with Audrey and sportin mommy's medal.

check, check, microphone check...

While at his future wife's house, Logan discovered that he loves microphones. As soon as I told my mom this, she was out and buying him the same exact keyboard...equipped with a microphone of course. It is, for now, one of his favorites!!! He drags the poor keyboard all around behind him.

I am tossing around the idea of becoming a stage mom and priming him for American Idol.

Jam Session I

Jam Session II

What can I say, he gets it from his momma;)
